At the beginning of the school year, the children in class four are given the opportunity to be part of our school Ethos Group.
Children who wish to be members of the Ethos Group are then put into small groups and take on the responsibility to be in the Ethos Group for a half term. During their time in the ethos group the children are responsible for setting up the hall ready for collective worship, beginning collective worship and dismissing at the end of collective worship. They evaluate collective worships and provide constructive feedback. They are also called on to say spontaneous prayers as well as leading acts of collective worship. As well as these responsibilities members also make sure that our school reflection area is maintained. At the end of a term, they then decide if they feel that they have achieved one of our Ethos Group certificates and explain why they feel they have achieved the requirements of the award.
