News

Class 1 have been finding out how to make 2, 3 and 4. We have been on treasure hunts of the classroom to find all the different ways to show these. During PE, we have been practising our balances – we are getting really good at this and are managing not to wobble too much! We have enjoyed painting sunflowers in the style of the artist Georgia O’Keeffe and have made a beautiful display. It has been another busy week!

Class 1 this week we have been talking about special people in our lives. We shared photos of our families and pets and talked about why it’s good to be different. We have been continuing to learn our new sounds and graphemes and are doing a brilliant job! We have worked together to make some amazing zoos, race tracks and have enjoyed big drawing together. We have talked about the changes in the weather and some of us have been busy collecting leaves and acorns.

Class 1 have squeezed a lot into our shorter week! We have been learning our first phonemes and practising writing our first graphemes. We have also been finding out about 1, 2 and 3, and creating our own patterns. During our SCARF session we talked about the question “What makes me special?”. We were all kind and respectful whilst listening to our friends. Another fantastic week!

Class 1  We have been so impressed with how Class 1 have settled in this week. We have welcomed back old friends from Nursery, as well as some new friends. It has been lovely to see their smiling faces as they explore their classroom and start to learn our routines. We are very excited for what we can achieve together over the next year!
