Class 1 This week our pea plants grew so tall that we had to replant them in our garden planter. The children were amazed to see how many roots had developed beneath the surface They are going to continue to care for their plants so that they grow some delicious pea pods for us all to eat. The children were excited to have a first Sports Day practise with Mr Rigg today. They really enjoyed all of the races and the value of perseverance way displayed by many.
Class 2
We liked making our Father's Day cards. The meerkats .
We liked practising for sports day. The lions.
We liked guided reading. The cheetahs.
We liked doing P.E. and R.E. The giraffes.
We liked storytime when he listening to 'The Naughty Meerkat'. The wolves.
Class 3 have enjoyed assessment week.
We have also done D&T. In D&T we have made prototypes of 3D shapes ready for making mini greenhouses.
Class 3 we have also enjoyed PE, doing football, rounders and some of us got a full rounder!
We have started a new topic about Europe. We have done our start of topic quiz.
We have also started a new topic in RE.
Class 4 Another busy week in Class 4, year 5 children have focussed brilliantly when completing their end of year assessments. Great job!
Year 6 have taken part in the leavers Service at Carlisle Cathedral; they also had the opportunity to visit the Labrinth project to see the amazing tiles created by many primary schools (including ours) and tour the cathedral. The service was enjoyed by all!
Everyone represented the school fantastically at William Howard School, taking part in Primary Athletics. We even managed a gold and 2 silvers! The children had a lovely morning and showed a great team spirit.
Class 4 are very excited about the residential next week, we are hoping for great weather!
Y5/6 Athletics
Well done to all of class four who attended the athletics at William Howard on Tuesday, with special congratulations to those children who achieved a gold, silver or bronze certificate in their event.
