Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 15/11/2021

Class 1  This week class 1 enjoyed reading and retelling the story ‘Farmer Duck’. They wrote letters to Farmer Duck requesting that he be kinder to his animals. They also enjoyed exploring changing materials, including ice and kinetic sand.

Class 2 The class have enthusiastically written information leaflets about Carlisle Castle.  In Geography, we have learned to identify different map symbols.  The children are eager to begin learning our play next week!

Class 3 Top effort all round this week! Class 3 have written amazing letters to the RSPCA seeking help about Mr and Mrs Twit’s cruelty towards animals.  Such exciting vocabulary; they would persuade anyone to help!  The children have also worked hard in Geography showing fantastic skills and knowledge.

Class 4 This week, Class 4 have been investigating Microorganisms in Science, testing hypotheses and making predictions. Everyone enjoyed a virtual visit from Jeff Kinney (Diary of a wimpy kid author/illustrator). The children have loved taking part in ‘Buddy reading’ across the school, an opportunity to share books with the younger children!
