Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 08/11/2021

Class 1  This week we have chosen our roles for the play and we are starting to learn our lines.  The children said that their favourite part of the week was baking and icing cupcakes.  Mrs Turney thought that the children did incredibly well at measuring out the ingredients and working as a team.

Class 2 On Monday we liked singing and playing the drama games in Razzmatazz.  On Tuesday we loved dancing to 'It's better when you're dancing!' in Dance with Abbie.  On Wednesday we liked writing about 'Castles' and thinking about 'Remembrance' and why we wear poppies in Reverend Stephen's worship time.

Class 3 The singing and learning of lines for our play are coming along beautifully.  Hockey skills have improved, especially stick control.  In PSHE we have written our own tips for dealing with conflict.

Class 4 This week in Class 4, we have enjoyed cooking burritos at the woods - preparing vegetables, making salsa and salad. We have started practising acting for our play, it was funny being tortoises, hares, squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes, beavers, badgers, and rats. In art, we have finished our sketching of Henry Rousseau's 'Tiger in a storm'. Everyone did a great job!
