Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 06/09/2021

Class 1 are celebrating...an excellent start to the school year! All of the children have settled in really well.  They are becoming familiar with our routines and have enjoyed getting to know one another/reuniting with friends.

Class 2 have further developed their routines this week and demonstrated resilience in their first full week back .  The pupils have especially enjoyed meeting 'Dizzy' our class dragon and relish story time about him.  Sadly, Dizzy was lonely last weekend so he will be spending his weekends with one of our families each week! The class have been writing some super sentences about the different areas in our school and have shown more writing stamina as the weeks progressed.

Class 3  - This week we have enjoyed starting our Geography topic about the UK.  We have been looking at maps and finding places.  We have also enjoyed listening to a new book called 'Swop, the Satsuma-sized Secret' and getting ready to meet the author by thinking of questions to ask her.

Everyone in Class 4 have settled in well.  We have been busy sharing Brilliant Beginnings, finding out about rainforests. The children have written some fantastic rainforest descriptions using their senses. Some children have led school worship this week, thinking about ‘thankfulness’.
