Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 21/05/2021

Class 1 have been looking at weight in Maths and have been exploring ‘lighter’ and ‘heavier’ objects.  In RE we have been looking at ‘our wonderful world’ – what makes us special and unique followed by painting some portraits.

Class 2 are relishing learning new computing skills such as typing, inserting images, and amending text as part of their computing this term.  During PSHE, we are talking about feelings and the children came up with sensible strategies to help 'Stretch Armstrong' deal with his tricky feelings.

Class 3 have been working hard to write and edit their newspaper articles about Pompeii, we are very proud of their efforts. They have also enjoyed sketching some Roman aqueducts in preparation for their D&T project next week.

A few comments from our Class 4 pupils

‘I have enjoyed investigating circuits in Science and trying components that we haven’t used before like buzzers and motors.  I enjoyed learning about democracy in Ancient Greece and comparing it to modern day democracy’

'This week, I really enjoyed science (this unit is about electricity) because I have had a good experience with circuits in the past and I really am fond of creating things such as circuits using different components.  Also in maths, we have been learning about scale factors, which is a really interesting and enjoyable unit to learn about’
