Teaching & Learning Celebrations w/c 03/03/2025

Class 1 We have had a very busy but fun filled weekend in Class One. We have been spotting signs of spring at Forest School, where we also helped to make the fire and cook pancakes to celebrate pancake day. We've been using our noticing skills to produce observational pictures of daffodils and crocuses, using colouring pencils, pastels and watercolours. In Drawing Club we focused on the traditional tale 'Jack and the Beanstalk', we enjoyed acting it out and have produced some fantastic pictures and codes. We ended the week by celebrating World Book Day with our readathon and lots of activities around school. Well done, everyone!

Class 2 A wonderful start to the week to the woods for class 2.  This weeks’ highlights have been audio to their Scratch story animations in computing, trampolining and gymnastics at the Sands and World Book Day.

Class 3 have shown great effort and attitude this week in class and outside of school.  We have been working hard during assessment week to complete our assessments.  Some of the Class 3 children participated in a 5 a side football tournament - the whole team played really well and showed excellent team spirit!  We are seeing lots of progress in our swimming lessons and more of us becoming increasingly confident in the water. We have also ended the week celebrating World Book Day.  We have enjoyed visiting different classes, dressing up and showing our love of reading!

Class 4 have had fantastic attitudes towards their assessments this week. They all put in 100% and remained focused as they tried their best!

What 'Sewing Bee' Superstars we have had this week! Everyone has thrown themselves into learning new skills including: sewing, weaving and braiding. Costumes look amazing; the children have been engrossed and productive all week. Our singing and dancing is also coming together with enthusiasm and fun. Everyone, has very excitedly taken part in our 'Readathon' and enjoyed  lots of fun reading activities.

What a brilliant week Class 4!
