Teaching & Learning Celebrations w/c 16/12/2024

Class 1 have had a fantastic week. We loved our Christmas party with Class 2, showing off our dance moves and enjoying spending time with our friends. We've made our own shortbread, made, and decorated salt dough decorations, written Christmas cards and sung Christmas songs. We enjoyed acting out the Nativity in our whole school Carol Concert and are looking forward to a well earned break!

Class 2 This week has been full of excitement, it has been a joy to see the children playing in our Class 2 festive provision, with their creative flairs shining though.  The party games were fun filled, with pin the tail on the donkey still being a firm favourite for many of the Class 2 pupils.  The children sang proudly during our carol service rehearsal.  It's been a magical week!

Class 3

Class 3 have had a busy week working on a collage unit in Art.  They had to use different techniques such as water mixed with felt tip to bleed the colours together.  The also created mandala patterns and included these in their finished pieces. The end results were really effective.  We also had a great time at our Christmas Party, enjoying all the games and dancing. We finished the week making light up snowmen ornaments.  They were full of character and showed everyone's unique personalities.  We also enjoyed a Christmas picture quiz to end the week.  Well done for working hard all term and enjoy your holiday!

This week in Class 4, we have been completing our Drawing Project in Art & Design, working artistically developing: shape, line, form, texture, colour, value, and space using the artist Frida Kahlo has our inspiration. Everyone has designed their own self portrait using surrealism and symbolism. We hope you are impressed with our calendars. The children have also created some amazing Christmas cards! Everyone has enjoyed their Christmas parties and Christmas lunch.

In French, the children have been learning new vocabulary linked to 'The Tea Room' so to end this half term, we have had our very own 'Tea Room' . The children had the opportunity to order their food and drink in their best French accents and of course eat it!

Merry Christmas everyone!
