Teaching & Learning Celebrations from the children w/c 23/09/2024 from the children

Class 1 have had another busy week, here are some of our favourite bits.

I loved making our climate change superhero. I liked when Jake's mummy came in. I liked playing with my friends at the forest. I liked playing on the obstacle course. I liked Mrs Potts' dinners and cakes. I liked singing and dancing in music. My favourite bit was making our robot Tom with my friends. I liked reading stories.

Class 2 I like maths when we use the number fans I enjoyed dodging in P.E., Science was my favourite when we sorted the animals, lunchtime and breaktime when I play with my friends, reading my reading book, English when we highlighted the parts of the story.   I like our worry monster, I liked it when my Mummy taught us about recycling, the team games in P.E. were fun, I enjoy Spelling Shed, I liked Computing when we went on the i-pads to spot the computers, I love learning with my friends, I like Phonics best and writing the sentence, I like Mastering Number, I love the daily mile because we get fitter and faster.  I am good at using a number line now in maths. I love everything at school!

Class 3   enjoyed their first visit of the year to the woods. We tried soft archery, slackline and took inspiration from our class book to imagine being lost in the forest. We have enjoyed Climate Day and learning how we can improve our carbon footprint and learning about the greenhouse effect. We practiced javelin skills in PE and all showed improved throwing skills. We have been Geologists by identifying and describing rocks in Science. 

Class 4 I have enjoyed finding out more about the main character in our English text 'Rose Blanche' She is brave, caring, curious and very furious! 

We have enjoyed Climate Change Day, thinking about the small changes we can achieve to make a big impact. School councillors are going to talk about changes we can make around school. 

In History, we enjoyed finding out about what life was like in the trenches for the soldiers. Did you know they suffered from trench foot and shell shock? 

In Science, we have enjoyed carrying out experiments to investigate air resistance.
