Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 08/07/2024 from the children

Class 1 I enjoyed playing outside on the swinging bars with my friends.

Playing in the home corner.

I liked meeting the new nursery and telling them where the toys go away.

I liked watching the play.  The water guns were spraying me. I loved it!

I liked doing my phonics and writing.

I am looking forward to the colour run and getting paint thrown at me.

Class 2 : I liked the class four play because they squirted us, the play because I liked the wishy washy laundry because I got squirted, I liked it when Olly was doing kick-ups with a balloon because it was funny, when I got wet watching the play.   I liked waving at the cars from the motorway bridge, when the lorries honked at us on when we were on the bridge, going down to the river. Being beeped at on the bridge.     I liked learning about body parts in PSHE.

Class 3   we have enjoyed watching Class 4 perform their version of Aladdin.  We made pizzas in DT, we discovered that there is unusual things in pizza such as yoghurt and iron!  We found that if you put too much water in, you have to add loads more flour!  We added tomato, cheese and even tried making a stuffed crust.  We have finished writing up our monster guides and they are brilliant.  We are really excited about the colour run today, we can't wait!

Class 4 Year 6: We enjoyed competing in the cricket tournament at Lanercost, we won three of our matches. Everyone had a great team spirit and we supported each other.

Year 5: We enjoyed joining Class 3s tennis session with the coach, we practised our skills and played games.

Year 6: We enjoyed our transition visit to Warwick Bridge school with Rachel from NISCU, we had the opportunity to meet other children who were going to secondary school. We learnt the story of Daniel and the decisions he made.

We all loved performing in the play for the rest of the school and our families. Everyone was amazing, we all remembered our lines, songs, and dances. We especially liked soaking our parents and families with the water guns!

We enjoyed taking part in the sponsored colour run, it was great getting covered in paint!
