Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 24/06/2024 from the children

Class 1 have lots of favourite things to share this week!

I liked eating popcorn at the woods. The obstacle course we made outside was really good. I liked the playdough best because it was super sticky. Our dinner - I always eat it all up! I liked making popcorn and hot chocolate at Forest School. Mrs Pott's chocolate brownie. Playing with all my friends. The parkour obstacle course was amazing, it was really tricky not stepping on the grass. Sports day was a highlight - I loved sports day, my mum and Grandma were there and I got a 1st place sticker, I liked sports day because I was so excited because once I watched my brother do it and now I've done it and my family came to watch, I liked sports day because my mummy did one of the races!

Class 2 I enjoyed art because we drew shadow outlines outside with chalk.  DT was my favourite, making the quesadillas. I liked sports day and the ice-lolly afterwards.   I like cooking tortilla wraps in DT but it was a bit spicy! I loved shading the shadows in art. I loved the daily mile.  The quesadilla was YUMMY! I liked art, when we were shading the best.  The obstacle race was my favourite race at sports day.  I like reading and doing my quizzes on the i-pads.  I loved everything this week.  I liked playing on the field and sunbathing.  Sports day was the best!

Class 3   We have enjoyed learning about angles and shapes and all the different names for triangles in Year 4.  Year 3 have enjoyed learning about angles too.  We have enjoyed our trip to Eden Rock. Climbing and hanging upside down was really fun.  We have been practising a new song for the Summer concert and it is a really good one!  Mr Blue Sky!  We have been writing an explanation in English on how to defeat a monster and used technical language for this.  We have learned words such as agile, severely, coordinated and approximately.

Class 4 I have enjoyed speaking to our special visitors this week, talking about our school, friends, learning and playtimes.

I have enjoyed taking part in Sports Day, my favourite was the relay race.

We all enjoyed the ice-lollies!

We have enjoyed practising our dances for the play and are all a lot more confident with our singing and acting.

We have enjoyed designing and painting the backgrounds for our production, we worked well with each other to make decisions and share ideas.
