Teaching and learning celebrations w/c 11/03/2024 comments from the children

Class 1 I liked doing the clay hedgehogs at forest school.  I liked making hedgehogs and going to forest school.  I liked making my easter egg card.  I loved making easter egg cards, I loved the hot chocolate at forest school, I liked playing in the sand with my friends, I liked painting my easter egg, I liked playing football.

Class 2 Art making collages, playtime because I can play football, everything because school is AMAZING!, maths and phonics.  Playtime, singing 'High Hopes', maths because I like 10,20,30,40, 50, I liked singing 'Yellow Submarine', everything because I love being at school, I liked reading with Peter Rabbit and the Gruffalo.   I enjoyed planning my story because I love writing, singing for the other classes, making my collage because I put football cut outs on it, singing our songs and doing the actions.

Class 3   have enjoyed: singing at the Music and Drama Festival at St. Cuthbert’s Church; Year 3 have enjoyed maths and fractions; English about Mamma and Pappa;  cricket – doing batting.

We have also enjoyed forest school as we made fire and went to Emmie’s farm.

Class 4 I have enjoyed exploring the mine at Beamish because I found about how dark it was and the conditions they had to work in. I would not have liked to be a miner.

I have enjoyed learning the dance to 'I will follow him' because it's fun to dance and sing together.

I enjoyed exploring the town area at Beamish, I enjoyed the dentist because it was interesting, I wouldn't want to brush my teeth with soot!

I liked the school at Beamish because we got to experience what it was like in Victorian times. It was very strict, especially for left handed children.

I have enjoyed learning Area and Perimeter in maths because we solved new problems and learnt how to work out challenging questions.

I have enjoyed singing and dancing because we were really good and Ed was really impressed with our hard work.
