Class 1 Some of our favourite things in Class 1 have been:
"Making my model world with dinosaurs and animals in".
"My favourite thing is getting the stick insects out and holding them".
"Doing my Problem Penguin writing". "When the fire engine came and we got to see what they wear".
"Doing football with Paul".
Class 2 We like playtime because I love playing football with my friends. Art because we made stencils and learn new things. This week I liked Art because it is my favourite subject. Art was fun when we sprayed the paint over stencils. I like learning about money because I want to know about money. Dance with Mrs Robinson was fun and Art with Mrs Hodgson was good too. Phonics learning all the ways to read and spell l, ll, le,al. Lunchtime because I like eating. In spelling shed we learned about adding -ing to words end in 'e'. I like mastering number because we get to learn about numbers.
Class 3 This week we have enjoyed:
Doing athletics – we’ve enjoyed running, high jump and vertical jumps. In Maths, Year 4 have done 3 digit times 1 digit. In PE we have been doing football. In English we’ve been writing up our Fox story. In History we’ve been learning about Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic times also Cheddar Man. In RE we went on a website then wrote the Lords prayer in our own words. In Year 3 maths we’ve done multiplication and division. We have had a brilliant week!
Class 4 I have enjoyed writing my cliffhanger climax in English, thinking about creating tension and suspense using an historical context.
I have enjoyed designing an overlay using printmaking techniques in Art and Design.
We have enjoyed taking part in Science experiments, mixing a variety of materials to test if they were soluble. We predicted whether an egg would float or sink in a salt solution.
We have enjoyed our singing workshop with specialist music teacher (Mr Taylor)
Athletics – showing real Crosby spirit! Well done to our Class 3 group who went to Harraby 3G sports Hall on Monday to take part in a schools athletics competition. Our teams represented the school giving it their all and demonstrating our school values with smiles on their faces.
