Martin PlummerParent GovernorI am extremely honoured to be a parent governor with our school and as such I intend to help and support all involved looking to ensure every child gets the very best start on their educational journey allowing them to achieve everything they strive to achieve. My gorgeous wife Emma and I have two boys who both attend Crosby On Eden school and live in a nearby village. As a Police Officer with Cumbria Constabulary since 1989, I would like to see all our children embracing openness, honesty and integrity and I am a firm believer that a healthy body enhances a healthy mind. |
Rachael MartinParent GovernorMy name is Rachael Martin, I have a long history with Crosby On Eden Cof E Primary School and the village. I lived in the village until I was 18 leaving to attend university, then moved back in 2014. My dad and I went to the school and I now have my 3 children attending currently in three year groups. I am a qualified Podiatrist and worked in the NHS for 11 years but my passion has always been gymnastics. I am now one of the directors and coaches at Carlisle gymnastics club which I have been a part of since I was 6 years old. We have a very busy family life but if any spare time appears I can be found eating cake! |
David TaylorParent GovernorI am a married father of three girls at the school. Originally from Carlisle, I studied Engineering at Birmingham University and then Physics in Grenoble France before re-qualifying as a solicitor in the UK. I‘m a partner in the international law firm Hogan Lovells and I returned to Carlisle last year after 22 years living and working in Paris, France. Whilst France has much to offer, nothing beats the sheer beauty of Cumbria and the Lake District so we spend as much time as we can enjoying the fells. I am a firm believer in technology and agile working - which enables me to be in Cumbria yet work around the world. |
Mrs J. DalgleishHeadteacherI’m Mrs Dalgleish. I’m the Head Teacher and I joined our school team in September, 2019. I’m passionate about giving children an amazing and inspiring start in life. I teach in Class 1 and Class 3 and I am getting to know all the other children too. When I’m not in school I enjoy walks in the woods with my family and our bouncy springer spaniel, Lyra. I also, enjoy curling up with a good book. |
Debbie FoxStaff Governor & SEND GovernorMy name is Miss Fox and I am really excited about teaching in Class 4. Most of my spare time is taken up spending time with my two lovely children although I do enjoy meeting friends, shopping and rock climbing. I enjoy teaching fun, creative and messy lessons! |
Sorrel DinwoodieStaff GovernorWorking at Crosby for nine years, most of you will probably know me quite well already, for those of you that don’t, I’m the one in the playground at 8.40am. The children are also quite well versed in my likes and dislikes, so I won’t bore you with details. As my girls, now 17 and 15 (I know I don’t look old enough) were Crosby pupils, I have been in the unique position of seeing how decisions made as staff and governors directly impact the children. To see how parents’ and pupils’ views are listened to, and how it shapes changes in school. . |
Lydia WoodClerk to GovernorsHello, my name is Lydia Wood and I am the School Business Manager & Clerk to the Governors. If I’m not looking at spreadsheets or under a mountain of paperwork, I am spending time with my family, browsing antique shops, gardening or walking. |
